How ClinicalCoders works for coders and agencies
Find coding work that matches your specialties, price it transparently, and get evaluated on real contract outcomes.
1. Build a profile that shows exactly what is verified
List your specialties, care settings, coding systems and editions, software familiarity, languages, availability, and rates. Upload credentials for review by a ClinicalCoders verifier. Each check — email, identity, credentials, and payout setup — is shown separately with the date it was verified and when it expires.
2. Find eligible projects
Search by specialty, coding system, engagement type, budget, and deadline. Projects that require credentials you don't hold, or work locations you can't meet, are clearly marked — those requirements are applied before any ranking.
3. Send a private proposal
Propose a fixed price, milestones, a per-record rate, or an hourly rate. Before you submit, you see the platform fee and your estimated net earnings. Other coders never see your price.
4. Agree on one contract version
When an organization makes an offer and you accept, a versioned contract is generated from the agreed terms. The fee rate is fixed for that contract. Any later change needs both parties' acceptance.
5. Deliver, get reviewed, get paid
Work happens in the organization's own systems by default — ClinicalCoders never asks for EHR passwords. You submit deliveries against acceptance criteria; the organization reviews within a set window. Payment status and clinical acceptance are always shown separately so you know exactly where things stand.
About payments: ClinicalCoders is integrating Square. The final funding model (when funds are authorized or charged) is pending approval; until then, payment features run only in sandbox/simulated mode with no real money. See pricing.
